繁育历史
This ancient breed, which has been used to improve a number of other draft breeds, was until recently considered to be extinct. But horses were exported in large numbers to North America in the past, and Amish communities preserved the breed as it was until it was rediscovered. Thanks to the horses preserved by the Amish the breed has been able to continue. It has been rehabilitated and reconstituted since 1993. The Flemish Horse was once used for farm work.
