The Minahasa (kuda minahasa in Indonesian) is the result of crossings between Sandalwoods and Thoroughbreds that have been going on since the end of the 1 960s. It is found in northern Sulawesi. It is also used for racing. Mainly dark bay, it is of average size, with mares around 1.34m and males 144m. The breed is rare.
