Height: 1.44m-1.62m. Color: All colors are possible, notably pinto, except Appaloosa-type spotted coats. Depending on the individual, it looksmore like a Quarter Horse or an Arabian. It has a slender head, large eyes, a wide forehead, long neck, sloping shoulders, and powerful hindquarters, but it is less powerful than the Quarter Horse. Distribution: United States; Europe (Germany, Italy). It is intelligent, and combines the power of the Quarter Horse and the endurance of the Arabian. It is a bit livelier than a Quarter Horse. It is suited for Western or English riding, and excels in endurance racing. It is a good trekking horse. The breed is doing well.

As its name suggests, this recent breed (1989) is a cross between Arabian and Quarter Horse, or between Arabian and Paint Horse.
