Height: 1.62m-1.74m. Color: Always black. This is a tall saddle horse, very athletic.Distribution: Canada. They are extremely calm and brave. Bred essentially to be horses for the Canadian Mounted Police, they are sometimes sold and make good saddle horses. Raised for a very specific use, thereare not very many of these horses.

This is not a specific breed, but a type of horse used by the Canadian Mounted Police, the result of crossings between English Thoroughbreds and black mares, notably Hanoverians. The Canadian Mounted Police have been breeding their own horses since 1939.
