The little Sumbar (or more exactly Sumbar-Sandalwood-Arab) is a crossbred dating from the beginning of the twentieth century between the Sandalwood, Thoroughbred, and Arabian with the goal of creating a race horse. It is found in western Sumatra. It is mainly dark bay. Mares measure around1.32 m, males 1.40 m.
