Waziri or Pashtun horse. It is the horse used by the Waziri or Pashtun tribe found in Pakistan and on its border with Afghanistan, in the Waziristan region that takes its name from them. These horses share ancestors with the Baluchi, which is taller, and related to the West African Barb through horses from Mali, known as Bélédougou or Banamba. This breed is known for its strength, good conformation and stamina at hard, fast work in the hills. Nowadays it is scarce ans said to be mostly impure.
