Height: On average 1.67 m for males; 1.65 m for mares. Color: Most often bay, with white markings on the head and legs. This tall horse has a muscular body, long legs, and a powerful croup. Distribution: Serbia. This athletic horse is bred for its fast trot. It is used for trotting races that are primarily held in Belgrade. The breed has become very rare, with a population estimated at between 500 and 700 individuals in 2012.

This breed is not indigenous to Serbia, since it is the result of crossings between Anglo-Arabs and American Standardbreds, with the goal of producing a good horse for trotting races. But it was created and bred in Serbia, where its numbers are now declining. A trotter from equivalent crossings, the Ljutomer Trotter, is found in Slovenia.
